As a result of previous Administrations’ policies, inflation on everyday costs strained the pockets of Americans who worked hard, saved responsibly, and received well-earned Social Security and retirement income. This was not only bad for our economy but simply wrong and penalized seniors and hard-working Americans.

It’s why House and Senate Republicans passed the One Big Beautiful BIll—to relieve that burden by expanding tax relief, specifically for seniors.

Under the bill, seniors receive an additional tax deduction of up to $6,000 for individuals and $12,000 for married couples, on top of the standard deduction they already receive. Thanks to the One Big Beautiful Bill, nearly 88 percent of Social Security beneficiaries will pay no federal income tax on their benefits. The new and retroactive senior deduction is targeted relief for the middle class and is expected to help tens of millions of seniors keep more of their hard earned money

This historic piece of legislation was passed without a single Democrat in the House or Senate’s support.

The millions of Americans who spent their lives building our country deserve lower taxes, greater peace of mind, and financial stability in retirement.
