Today's Tax Day

Since Republicans passed landmark legislation almost one year ago, I've talked a lot about what these tax cuts do on paper. But today, I want to share what it's done for the people in our own communities because many of you have been weighing in, and the results speak for themselves:

"First time in eight years I received a refund. The no tax on overtime made this happen."
Franklin, Port St. Lucie

Over 25 million Americans claimed the no-tax-on-overtime deduction with average savings of $3,100.

"It was the first refund on my taxes in 45 years."Maryann, Hobe Sound

Over 30 million seniors claimed the enhanced senior deduction with average savings of $7,500.

"2025 was one of the hardest years of my life. This year's refund helped me buy a safe vehicle and get my family back into a home of our own."Eden, Port St. Lucie

Over 34 million families claimed the enhanced Child Tax Credit.

"As a retired Army officer on a fixed income and raising a family, we monitor our finances closely. I'm happy to report that we have more than tripled our refund from last year (and frankly, from the last few years)."Kevin, Stuart

The One Big Beautiful Bill had America's heroes in mind too.

"I got a larger business deduction and one for buying a new car."Sammy, Jensen Beach

Over 1 million filers deducted car loan interest on new American vehicles with average savings of $1,800.

These are our neighbors, in our communities, experiencing real relief. Average refunds in St. Lucie, Martin, and Palm Beach Counties are all up too—higher than the national average. The One Big Beautiful Bill is doing what it was written to do.

If you haven't filed yet, the deadline is today, April 15.

If you've already filed, I want to hear from you.
