If I were to characterize the last two years under President Biden and the Democratic Congress, I would call it a years-long spending spree.

From the hundreds of billions of dollars sent to Ukraine to multiple trillion-dollar packages to enact a woke agenda Speaker Pelosi was a perfect partner-in-crime for President Biden.

Thanks to the Biden Administration’s irresponsible spending, the inflation reached a 40-year high level.  Between President Biden’s first day in office and the end of 2022, the inflation had increased 14.3 percent and real wages had gone down 3.8 percent.

Thankfully, House Republicans are committed to stopping the spending spree in Congress, but President Biden is still doing plenty of damage on his own.  In fact, it’s estimated that his executive orders alone have cost more than $1.4 trillion.

That is why today the House of Representatives, with my support, passed the Reduce Exacerbated Inflation Negatively Impacting the Nation (REIN IN) Inflation Act, which would require the administration to publish the inflationary impact of executive actions before enacting them.  The American people deserve to know how the decisions made in the White House will affect their bottom line.

For far too long, we had to sit with our hands tied as we watched President Biden spend, spend, spend.  This ends with the Republicans leading the House of Representatives.  When you go to work, your paycheck belongs to you, and we’ll be fighting everyday to make sure you get to keep it.
