Pain, trauma, the uphill battle to heal—it doesn’t just end on the battlefield. That’s why I’m still fighting to make sure our veterans can access every available tool to recover, including medical cannabis.

Right now, even in states like Florida where medical marijuana is legal, veterans aren’t allowed to discuss medical cannabis with their VA doctor. That’s unacceptable. 

To fix this, I’ve reintroduced my bill, the Veterans Equal Access Act. It’s a simple, straightforward piece of legislation that puts veterans and their doctors in control of their treatment. As a combat veteran and a Co-Chair of the Congressional Cannabis Caucus, I’ll keep pushing to cut through all of the red tape that blocks care. Veterans fought for this country, and the least we can do is keep fighting for them.
