President Biden has done it again: U.S. Customs and Border Protection announced the number of southern border encounters reached an all-time-high of 302,034 times last month.  This makes December the highest number of encounters in a single month ever recorded in history.

This is not surprising given the ineffective policies of the Biden Administration.  Joe Biden is more interested in appeasing the cartels who smuggle migrants across the border rather than the American people, who bear the consequences of the open border policies.  As a result, we have millions of untrackable “gotaway” migrants and dozens of known terrorists entering our country every year.

This left the state of Texas with no choice but to take the matter into its own hands.  Governor Greg Abbott set up barbed wires so people can cross the border where they are legally allowed to do so: at the border checkpoints.  However, instead of thanking the Texas National Guard and the state troopers for protecting our southern border, the Biden Administration put up a fight with Texas - a border state - by deploying the border patrol agents to cut those barbed wires.

This is a wrong use of federal government resources and a blatant and deliberate attempt by the Biden Administration to leave working Americans to struggle under his open border policies.

That is why the Republican governors are rallying support behind the Texas governor while highlighting the importance of securing the border.  With migrants flooding our southern border, it is important we take all measures necessary.

And in Congress, the House Republicans are introducing the articles of impeachment against Department of Homeland Security Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas for his willful and systemic refusal to comply with the law and breach of public trust.  Tomorrow, the House Committee on Homeland Security will hold a hearing to share the conclusion of the nearly year-long investigation for impeachment, so stay tuned. 

Along with the House Republicans, I will continue to fight President Biden’s moronic policy, which puts Americans at risk.
