No Tax Dollars to the Taliban
Last month, we saw the very best our military had to offer. Dropped into a catastrophe in Afghanistan, our troops worked day-in and day-out to evacuate as many Americans and our allies as possible. Just as hundreds of thousands of troops did in the two decades of conflict, they served our nation proudly.
Allowing American tax dollars to line the pockets of the Taliban is a poor way to thank them for their service.
That’s why I’m cosponsoring the No Support for Terror Act. This bill would prevent money at the International Monetary Fund (IMF) from being sent directly to the Taliban or other state sponsors of terrorism under the guise of “foreign aid.”
The United States should not, under any circumstances, be funding the shariah law-enforcing, women-stoning, American-murdering regime known as the Taliban. It weakens our national security and is a slap in the face to the servicemembers who fought bravely in Afghanistan.
I’ll continue to fight tooth and nail to ensure not one tax dollar is sent to the Taliban!
