Our community is all-too-familiar with the devastating impact of hurricanes. Preparing for these storms is nothing new, but I wanted to share with you a bill we just passed to make it a little bit easier.

Congress recently passed the STORM Act to help reduce the financial costs of recovering from devastating hurricanes that land on our coast. Specifically, this legislation authorizes $300 million to FEMA in order to provide low-interest loans to mitigate damage from hurricanes and shoreline erosion.

This bill is a win for communities like ours that are regularly impacted by these storms!
