Mast to Join Bipartisan Delegation in Europe

Foreign Affairs Committee Member will Travel to UK, Norway, Poland, Estonia

Stuart, Fla. – Next week, U.S. Congressman Brian Mast (FL-18) will travel to Europe as part of a bipartisan House delegation led by Speaker Paul Ryan (WI-1). Rep. Mast, a member of the Foreign Affairs Committee, was one of only two freshman members invited on the trip. The delegation will travel to the United Kingdom, Norway, Poland and Estonia with the goal of strengthening security and economic ties with NATO partners. The trip will include meetings with government officials and military leaders to discuss evolving security threats facing Europe and opportunities for greater economic cooperation.

"As a member of the Foreign Affairs Committee and the Subcommittee on Terrorism, Nonproliferation and Trade, I am looking forward to meeting with allied leaders across Europe to discuss our shared threats," Rep. Mast said.

Joining Rep. Mast and Speaker Ryan on the trip are House Armed Services Committee Chairman Mac Thornberry (TX-13), House Financial Services Committee Chairman Jeb Hensarling (TX-5), Rep. Ron Kind (WI-3), Rep. Gregory Meeks (NY-5), Rep. Martha Roby (AL-2) and Rep. Don Bacon (NE-2).
