WASHINGTON, D.C. – U.S. Congressman Brian Mast (FL-18) today released the following statement after voting against a “continuing resolution” that would kick the can to fund the government down the road and simultaneously increase the national debt ceiling to allow for trillions more of taxpayer dollars to be spent in the future:

“The national credit card is beyond maxed out at the exact moment that Speaker Pelosi wants to charge another $3.5 trillion to it.  That’s a charge that should be declined and the reason that I voted against this legislation.”
