This was a great week. We opened the first-ever office inside a VA facility. Next, we delivered RESULTS to prevent drilling off the coast of Florida. Finally, the good news for our economy has continued to pour in. Watch for more.

This week was amazing: a wave of common sense overcame Washington! I'll be the first to say that meaningful action and change have been missing from Washington for far too long, but this week we made major progress to restore sanity to Washington!

We need to put those words into action and give our veterans the proper care that they need and rightfully deserve. And this week, I’m happy to say we made some serious progress: we passed 15 bills to support veterans.
Sadly, as a veteran myself, I’ve seen firsthand how often the government fails our veterans. We can and must do better. This week, in honor of Veteran’s Day, the House passed 15 bills that will honor our veterans while improving care for them and their families.
As Vice Chairman of the Water Resources and Environment subcommittee, I'll keep this pressure on until Congress authorizes the resources we need to stop the discharges, send the water south and clean up the water quality.
